Shaheed El-Hafed, December 16, 2024 (SPS) - The second national campaign for vaccination against measles and polio has begun from the Wilaya of Smara.
The event was attended by Al-Izza Bobih, a member of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front , the Governor of Smara, as well as regional authorities, Sidi Omar, the Central Director of Prevention, a representative from UNICEF in Algeria, representatives from the Algerian Agency for International Cooperation, and a delegation from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
The second national vaccination campaign aims to administer the second dose of the measles and polio vaccines, targeting all children aged six months to five years. The vaccinations will take place at local health centers across all wilayas from December 15 to December 24, 2024.
