Shaheed El Hafid, September 21, 2024 (SPS) - Mr. Brahim Ghali, President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front, and Commander-in-Chief of the Sahrawi Armed Forces, chaired Saturday a meeting of the General Staff of the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army.
The meeting focused on key axes, as a follow-up to the operational staff meeting that the President of the Republic had overseen last Wednesday.
Among these axes, the operational situation was discussed, with a focus on evaluating the combat operations in the past months, where the units of the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army have continued to strike the enemy's positions and trenches with a noticeable increase in pace and scope, inflicting significant losses in lives and equipment on the enemy.
The meeting also addressed the preparations for the annual program of the Ministry of National Defense in general, and the training year 2024/2025 in particular.
The meeting listened to a general presentation by the President on various aspects of the national issue, both internally and externally, and the developments taking place on the regional and international arenas and the challenges they pose.
