SPLA carries out new attacks targeting soldiers of Moroccan occupier in Smara sector

Birlahlou (liberated territories), 19 May 2024 (SPS) - Units of the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army (SPLA) carried out new attacks against positions of the Moroccan occupation forces in the Smara sector, inflicting "heavy human and material losses" on them, the Central Directorate of the SPLA's political commissariat said in a statement on Sunday.

"Advanced detachments of the Sahrawi Army had targeted, on Saturday, "by intense bombardments, enemy positions" behind the sand wall in the Smara sector, the statement added.

"The Sahrawi People's Liberation Army continues its military operations in the face of the incapacity of the Moroccan defense system, with its equipment and technology, to repel its attacks," the statement concluded.
