Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), 15 January 2024 (SPS) - The Sahrawi Republic is participating in the 47th Ordinary Session of the African Union Permanent Representatives Committee, which began today, Monday, at the headquarters of the African Union Commission in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa.
The work of this session is focusing on the theme: "Educate an African fit for the 21st Century: Building resilient education systems for increased access to inclusive, lifelong, quality, and relevant learning in Africa."
The session is attended by the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki Mahamat, ambassadors of the member states of the African Union, as well as officials of the African Union.
It is expected that the Permanent Representatives Committee will discuss draft reports and prepare the agenda of the 44th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council, scheduled to be held on February 14 - 15, in Addis Ababa.
The work of the 47th Ordinary Session of the African Union Permanent Representatives Committee will continue until 26 January.
