Mbombela (South Africa), 14 January 2024 (SPS) - Mr. Bashraya Hamoudi Beyoun, member of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front, represented the President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, in the celebrations of the African National Congress (ANC) on the occasion of its 112th anniversary, held in Mbombela in the Mpumalanga Province.
The celebration stadium was decorated with the flags of the Sahrawi Republic along with the flags of South Africa's friendly countries.
In his speech, President Cyril Ramaphosa expressed South Africa's solidarity with the Sahrawi people and its just cause.
The Prime Minister met with President Ramaphosa, along with many guests participating in the celebration, expressing deep gratitude and appreciation on behalf of the President and the Sahrawi people to the Republic of South Africa for its consistent support for justice and the defense of oppressed peoples.
He also held meetings with delegations participating in these celebrations, including Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Botswana, Namibia, and Cuba.
In addition to the Prime Minister, the Sahrawi delegation included Mohamed Yeslem Bessat, the Sahrawi Ambassador to South Africa.
