Occupied El Aaiún, March 4, 2025 (SPS) – The Collective of Human Rights Defenders in Western Sahara (CODESA), announced today the launch of its website to break the information and military siege imposed on the occupied territories, as well as to document the crimes committed by the Moroccan occupation authorities against Sahrawi civilians.

In a statement released this Monday, the Sahrawi NGO operating from the occupied areas of Western Sahara stated that it “has launched this website in four languages (Arabic, English, Spanish, and French) in order to gather and provide reliable first-hand information to the public, in accordance with international humanitarian law and considering the legal status of Western Sahara, which has been on the list of non-self-governing territories pending decolonization since 1963.”

“This electronic portal constitutes a contribution to enhance awareness efforts regarding the issue of Western Sahara and deepen knowledge about the human rights situation in the territory, facilitating access to information and creating a bridge with international organizations operating in this field to strengthen the universal and comprehensive concept of human rights,” the statement noted.
