Wilaya of Smara, February 25, 2025 (SPS) - Sahrawi runner Lahsen Mohamed Sidahmed won the 10 km race of the 2025 Sahara Marathon, during its third stage, which started from the Paramedical Training School towards the wilaya of Smara over a distance of 10 km.
In a statement to the media, the Sahrawi runner expressed his happiness with this result, considering this victory a triumph for Sahrawi sports, which has the potential to participate in and excel at international sporting events.
Additionally, Sahrawi runner Bachraya Nay Bashir secured first place in the 5 km race.
The competitors set off Tuesday morning from the wilaya of El Aaiun for the 42 km race, from the wilaya of Auserd for the 21 km race, and from the Paramedical Training School for the 10 km and 5 km races.
