Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), February 14, 2025 (SPS) - The President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, arrived today, Friday, in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, to take part in the 38th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the African Union.
He was welcomed at the airport by Chaltu Sani Ibrahim, the Ethiopian Minister of Urban Development and Infrastructure, the Deputy Foreign Minister, and the Ambassador at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
President Brahim Ghali received a distinguished welcome at Bole International Airport in Addis Ababa, where the Sahrawi national anthem was played by the Ethiopian ceremonial and protocol band, accompanied by cultural performances.
The summit will take place over two days, on Saturday and Sunday, with its main agenda being the election of a new Chairperson of the Commission to replace the Chadian Moussa Faki, as well as the election of a new Deputy to replace the Rwandan Monique Nsanzabaganwa.
The summit will also address various issues concerning the continent and its peoples in different fields.
