Shahid al-Hafed, October 18, 2023 (SPS) - The President of the Republic and Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, received yesterday the Mayor of the French municipality of Cuverville, Mr. Alban Abruno, who is on a visit to the Sahrawi refugee camps to have a look at the Sahrawi state institutions and to sign twinning agreements with Sahrawi municipalities.
During the meeting, President Brahim Ghali welcomed the Mayor of Cuverville and thanked him and the delegation accompanying him for this valuable visit, which comes at a distinct time in the struggle of the Sahrawi people. He also praised “the important role played by French councils and municipalities in defending the legitimate rights of the Sahrawi people and making their cause known to the French community.”
The delegation led a visit to the Wilaya of Dakhla, where it was received by the regional council of the Wilaya, headed by the governor, Mr. Abda Sheikh. The French delegation was briefed on the services that the Sahrawi state provides to citizens in various aspects of life.
In the same context, the delegation led a visit to the municipality of Adjreifya, aiming to strengthen the friendship relations that existed between the municipality of Adjreifya and the French municipality of Cuverville 30 years ago.
