Kampala (Uganda ), 12 January 2025 (SPS) - The works of the Extraordinary African Union Summit on the Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Program (CAADP) post-Malabo, wrapped up on Saturday, in Kampala (Uganda), with the adoption of the Kampala Declaration on the strengthening of the overall reform of the agri-food systems for the period 2026-2035.
The Summit also adopted the action Plan of the detailed Program for the development of African agriculture and sustainable economic growth for the same period.
Before the holding of the Summit, which was kicked off by Uganda’s President, Bakhta Selma Mansouri, technical sessions at the level of AU’s experts and Agriculture ministers were organized on 9 and 10 January, and which were an opportunity to exchange experiences between the participating countries.
