Occupied El Aaiun, January 1, 2025 (SPS) - The Committee of Mothers of the 15 Sahrawi Abductees has held the Moroccan state responsible for the kidnapping of their sons, 19 years after their abduction in December 2005 in a heinous criminal operation that was premeditated, due to the involvement of some of them in the activities of the independence uprising at its outbreak.
In a statement, the mothers of the abductees called on the international community to assume its moral responsibility for its ongoing silence regarding the continuous violations perpetrated by the Moroccan state against human rights in the occupied part of Western Sahara.
They considered the Moroccan regime to be primarily responsible for the abduction of their sons, demanding to reveal their fate and their immediate release.
They also reaffirmed their commitment to the struggle for freedom and justice for the Sahrawi people, rejecting the continuation of the policies of repression and discrimination practiced by the Moroccan occupation.
