President of National Council highlights the role of legislative institution, affirms 2024 parliamentary year was productive

School of June 9, 2024 (SPS) - Hamma Salama, member of the National Secretariat, President of the National Council, affirmed that the past legislative year was marked by significant legislative work, including the ratification of several laws and protocols in line with the Sahrawi Republic's commitments in the African Union and bilateral agreements with Venezuela. This enhances the status of the Sahrawi state and solidifies its existence as an irreversible reality.

During a special session to evaluate the performance of the National Council in 2024, the President noted that the council had a fruitful year, with numerous activities and programs in which members participated.

He also recorded the regular functioning of the council's offices and committees, as well as the meetings of the council's bureau, which accompanied efforts to ensure the optimal execution of programs.

Hamma Salama praised the work of the General Secretariat of the National Council and its structures in providing suitable conditions for the work of council members and ensuring administrative and logistical services.

The President emphasized the role of National Council members in developing programs that achieve objectives across various sectors, monitoring their implementation, and utilizing all legal mechanisms to enhance government performance.
