Meru (France), December 21, 2024 (SPS) - The city of Meru, located near the French capital Paris, has hosted an intellectual conference regarding the recent ruling by the European Court of Justice that invalidated the agreement between the European Union and Morocco.

The conference was organized by the Sahrawi Youth Association in France in collaboration with the Ahmed Baba Miska Research Center, with the presence of representatives from the communities in France and a significant number of youth and activists.

Named after the late detained activist Fatimatu Dhawar, the conference featured presentations by Dr. Gali Al-Zubeir and Mohamed Ould Sharif from the Ahmed Baba Miska Research Center, who provided valuable information explaining France's submission to the maneuvers of the Moroccan regime, alongside the ongoing illegal plundering of natural resources. This occurs at a time when both United Nations resolutions and the European Court of Justice affirm the Sahrawi people's right to exist and benefit from their resources.

The conference aims to enlighten the Sahrawi community in France regarding the developments of the Sahrawi issue in general and France's recent decision in particular.
