National Council, December 19, 2024 (SPS) - The National Council continues its public sessions to evaluate the government's program for 2024 as part of the autumn session of the 12th legislative term.
The session on Wednesday was dedicated to listening to the government's responses to the deputies' questions and the reports from the specialized committees of the National Council and its regional offices, in light of monitoring the progress of the government program and the field visits during the evaluation round, which covered all sectors of the executive apparatus and its regional and local extensions.
During the Wednesday session, chaired by a member of the National Secretariat, President of the National Council, Mr. Hamma Salama, members of the National Council listened to the responses from the ministers of the political sector, which includes Youth and Sports, Culture, the Occupied Territories, and Community Abroad.
The issue of the occupied territories and strengthening it was strongly present during the discussions, along with supporting the struggles of civilian prisoners and conveying their situation to all international forums, as well as pressuring for their release.
The evening session included responses from the Minister of Water and Environment and the Minister of Justice and Religious Affairs, focusing on answering questions directed to their fields of work and addressing the inquiries and observations raised in the reports of the National Council's committees and members' questions, as part of the evaluation of the government's program for the year under review.
