Wilaya of Awserd, November 17, 2024 (SPS) - The Governor of the Wilaya of Awserd, Khira Bulahi, has met a delegation from the Italian municipalities of Sesto Fiorentino and Montespertoli, in the Tuscany region.
The delegation is composed of more than 20 people, including the President of the Municipal Council of Sesto Fiorentino, Serena Sassolini, and the Advisor Ottavia Viti, in charge of Cooperation for the Municipality of Montespertoli. Also part of the delegation are representatives of associations and students, who have traveled from Italy to find out about the situation of the Sahrawi refugee camps.
During their visit, which last for a week, the Italian group will visit various institutions and administrative regions, and will meet with Sahrawi authorities to deepen their understanding of the situation in the region and strengthen cooperation ties.
This meeting reaffirms the commitment of the Tuscany region to the Sahrawi cause and underlines the importance of international solidarity in defending the rights and aspirations of the Sahrawi people.
