Shaheed Al-Hafed, November 13, 2024 (SPS) - The Secretary-General of the Ministry of National Defense, Mohamed Lemine Mohamed Ahmed, supervised Wednesday the activities commemorating the 4th anniversary of the resumption of armed struggle.
The event was attended by members of the General Staff of the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army and participating delegations from various military sectors.
The activities included shooting with light weapons and conducting the final match of the military tournament, in which the special units' team won the trophy against the reserve brigade team. The events also featured athletics, such as cross-country running over distances of 10 km, 400 meters, and 100 meters, along with intellectual games and other activities organized by the Central Directorate for Political Commissariat of the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army.
The events concluded with a speech by the Secretary-General of the Ministry of National Defense, Mohamed Lemine Mohamed Ahmed, who spoke about the significance of the event marking the resumption of the armed struggle, which represents a historical day and a prominent milestone in the course of our liberation war. He recalled the heroism and glory of the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army, which continues its fight with courage and determination, inflicting heavy losses on the enemy in terms of both lives and equipment.
The Secretary-General of the Ministry of National Defense also emphasized that the event serves as a point for review and evaluation, and as an opportunity to renew the commitment to make further sacrifices and contributions until the desired goals are achieved.
