President Masisi: "Botswana is committed to stand in solidarity with the Sahrawi people quest for self-determination, liberation and independence”

Gaborone (Botswana) 28 October 2024 (SPS)- The President of the Republic of Botswana, Dr.  Mokgweetsi Masisi, reaffirmed his country's unwavering support for the Sahrawi people's right to self-determination, freedom, and independence in a response message to a congratulatory letter sent to him by the President of the Sahrawi Republic, Brahim Ghali, on the occasion of Botswana's National Day.

"On behalf of the government and people of Botswana, I wish to extend our sincere appreciation to you and the people of the Saharawi Democratic Republic for your support and solidarity. I equally share your commitement to further enhancing the excellent relations that exist between our two countries," wrote President Masisi in his letter.

He further reiterated "Botswana's continued commitment to stand, in solidarity, with the people of the Saharawi Democratic Republic in their quest for self-determination, liberation and independence," wishing the Sahrawi people further progress and prosperity. (SPS)
