Russia, October 25, 2024 (SPS) – Bolivian President Luis Arce reaffirmed his country’s strong stance on the Sahrawi issue and the Sahrawi people's right to freedom and self-determination.
In his speech at the BRICS summit held in Russia, Luis Arce reiterated Bolivia's support for the Sahrawi people's right to freedom and self-determination.
The advanced position taken by the Bolivian President reflects the fraternal relations he shares with the President of the Republic, Brahim Ghali, and the notable presence of the Sahrawi issue in Bolivian political discourse, which demonstrates Bolivia's solidarity with the Sahrawi people's freedom and its right to sovereignty over their land.
This position is reinforced by the historical ties and deep relationships that the Sahrawi Republic has maintained for decades with countries and peoples of South America and the Caribbean, which remain committed to their steadfast principles of combating all forms of colonialism and supporting liberation movements.
