Shaheed Al-Hafed, October 19, 2024 (SPS) - A delegation from the Basque Country has begun a visit to Sahrawi state institutions, during which it will learn about the reality of the Sahrawi people and monitor the functioning of Sahrawi state institutions.
The delegation, which includes 41 people including politicians, parliamentarians and solidarity activists from various regions of the Basque Country, aims behind this visit to strengthen political solidarity between Basque and Sahrawi institutions.
The delegation will visit the Sahrawi institutions that have twinning and friendship relations with institutions and associations from Basque country; it will also conduct field visits to a number of institutions, including the National Council, the Ministry of Cooperation, the Sahrawi Red Crescent Foundation, the Ministry of Information, and the Ministry of Transport and Energy.
During the visit, the delegation will meet with a number of officials, including a meeting with the Minister of Information Hamada Salma, the President of the Sahrawi Red Crescent, Bouhbeini Yahya, and the Secretary General of the Youth Union, Ali Mohamed Salem.
Cooperation and twinning agreements will be signed, during the four-day visit between the municipalities of Ajreifia, Tifariti and the wilaya of Boujdour with the municipalities of Basque country.
The delegation was received today by the Governor of the wilaya of Boujdour, Mrs. Al-Diah Mohamed Shaddad, and the regional authorities of the wilaya.
