Wilaya of Laayoune (refugee camps), October 12, 2024 (SPS) - The President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, affirmed that the historic Ain Bentili Conference was a turning point in the history of the Sahrawi people.
President Brahim Ghali, in his speech during the celebrations commemorating the 49th anniversary of National Unity in the Wilaya of Laayoune, explained that the historic Ain Bentili Conference was a turning point in the history of the contemporary Sahrawi people, and that the Sahrawis gathered in it, in a conscious, responsible and decisive move, organized and planned by the Popular Front for the Liberation of Saguia el-Hamra and Rio de Oro, under the leadership of the instigator of the immortal May 20 Revolution, the martyr of freedom and dignity, Wali Mustafa Sayed.
He also added that the Ain Bentili Conference united the word of the Sahrawi people behind their vanguard and sole legitimate representative, and the masses of our people, from every corner and side, rushed to join the tent of national unity, and to join the ranks of the revolution and the strongholds of the struggle, at home and abroad, and at the forefront of which is the Sahrawi People's Liberation Army.
President Brahim Ghali pointed out that the opportunity requires a moment of appreciation and reverence for all those who contributed to this historic declaration, especially mentioning here the venerable fathers and dignitaries, those who have passed away and those who are still continuing with us the struggle, who rushed to engage, without hesitation, in a lofty national mission, and joined all the sites of action and struggle, and devoted their efforts, wisdom and position, with all dedication and sincerity, to root the bonds of cohesion, solidarity and national unity.
