Auserd, April 07, 2026 (SPS)— The Wilaya of Auserd is set to host celebrations on April 8th and 9th commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Proclamation of the Sahrawi Republic.
The national committee supervising the event revealed the program for the commemorations, which will take place over two days. The first day will be dedicated to showcasing the military capabilities of the Sahrawi army through a large-scale parade featuring its various units, both on foot and mechanized.
In addition, a special program has been prepared to mark this anniversary, including cultural, artistic, sports, folkloric, and entertainment activities involving various sectors and national institutions, highlighting the institutional development of the Sahrawi Republic over half a century.
The event is expected to be presided over by the President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, alongside the Chief of Staff of the Sahrawi Army, Hamma Salama. The celebrations will be attended by various military formations and international guests of the Sahrawi people.
