National Council, December 5, 2023 (SPS) – The member of the National Secretariat and President of the National Council, Mr. Hamma Salama, received yesterday a Spanish delegation in solidarity with the Sahrawi people, leading a working visit to the institutions of the Sahrawi state.
During the meeting, the President of the National Council expressed his appreciation for this visit, highlighting its importance in accompanying the Sahrawi people in their struggle for freedom and independence.
The President of the National Council also praised the political and humanitarian support provided by the Spanish Solidarity Movement over decades, advocating for the Sahrawi issue and alleviating the suffering of Sahrawi refugees.
Mr. Hama Salama also reviewed the experience of the National Council within the institutional construction of the Sahrawi state and the promotion of democratic practice through oversight, legislation, and the combination of liberation and construction in light of the unique experience of the Sahrawi Republic.
During the visit, the Spanish delegation received a detailed briefing on the nature of the work of the National Council and its structures.
