Shaheed El Hafed, March 12, 2026 (SPS) – Member of the National Secretariat, Speaker of the National Council, Mr. Hamma Salama, received a message of congratulations from the Speaker of the Algerian National People's Assembly, Mr. Ibrahim Boughali, on the occasion of the Sahrawi people commemorating the 50th anniversary of the proclamation of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic.
The Speaker of the Algerian National People's Assembly addressed, in his own name and on behalf of the deputies of the National People's Assembly of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, his sincere congratulations and highest expressions of appreciation to all members of the Sahrawi National Council and to the brotherly Sahrawi people on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the proclamation of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, on February 27.
In the congratulatory message addressed to Mr. Hamma Salama, the Algerian Speaker emphasized that “this anniversary represents a renewed opportunity to reaffirm Algeria’s steadfast and supportive position regarding the inalienable right of the Sahrawi people to self-determination, to take pride in the deep fraternal and historical ties that unite the Algerian and Sahrawi peoples, and to reaffirm our shared will to strengthen coordination and consultation between our two legislative bodies in a way that serves the higher interests of our two brotherly peoples and contributes to consolidating the values of peace and stability in the region.”
