Shaheed El Hafed, 05 February 2026 (SPS) – The proceedings of the 4th edition of the Arab International Conference in Solidarity with the Sahrawi People concluded on Thursday under the slogan “Challenges and Prospects,” with an emphasis on the necessity of winning the media battle across the Arab world to raise awareness of the Sahrawi cause.
The closing ceremony was attended by the President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, along with members of the National Secretariat, the government, the National and Consultative Councils, and officials from various national institutions, in addition to the participating Arab delegations from different countries.
In its final communiqué, the Conference renewed its call to continue and intensify popular diplomacy in support of the Sahrawi cause and to make use of new media platforms to support the Sahrawi people’s right to freedom and independence. It also emphasized strengthening avenues of Arab solidarity with the Sahrawi people.
The Conference brought together politicians, researchers, activists, and media professionals from Algeria, Egypt, Tunisia, Mauritania, Palestine, and Oman.
