Shaheed El-Hafed, 29 January 2025 (SPS) – The government held a ministerial meeting today, Monday, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Commerce, bringing together ministers of the sectors concerned with implementing the African Continental Free Trade Area, within the continental commitments of the Sahrawi Republic at the African level.
The meeting reviewed the latest updates to the legal documents arising from the agreement establishing the African Continental Free Trade Area, including schedules of commitments related to tariff liberalization for priority sectors within the protocols on trade in goods and trade in services.
The government had met last week in an evaluation meeting on the process of following up on the implementation of national commitments under the African Continental Free Trade Area agreement, during which the committee of experts from the relevant sectors was instructed to prepare a national roadmap for the implementation process.
