Smara Wilaya (Sahrawi Refugee Camps), 24 November 2025 (SPS) - The participants in the Third International Solidarity Forum for Cultural Exchange for Peace in Western Sahara, held in the Sahrawi refugee camps from 19 to 21 November 2025 under the theme “We gather to Show Solidarity… We Dialogue to Love,” emphasized—through the discussions and contributions presented throughout the forum—the need to adopt the following recommendations:
* Emphasizing the importance and necessity of expanding future editions of the forum to include intellectuals, artists, students, researchers, and social media influencers from all continents, while enhancing the participation of cultural institutions, universities, and cultural centers from various countries.
* Working towards the establishment of an International Solidarity Network for Cultural Dialogue on Western Sahara, dedicated to the exchange of expertise, the launch of joint cultural and artistic research projects, and the promotion of the human, spiritual, civilizational, and intellectual dimensions of the forum.
* Encouraging international media outlets to cover the forum and to highlight the realities of the situation in the Sahrawi refugee camps and the occupied territories of Western Sahara.
* Affirming cultural exchange as a permanent platform for building bridges of friendship among peoples, fostering the values of peace, and rejecting hatred, discrimination, and racism.
* Exploring the possibility of establishing a cultural center to serve as a permanent headquarters for the forum and for solidarity-based cultural activities. The proposed name for the center is: “The Janet Lenze Center for Dialogue and Exchange for Peace in Western Sahara.”
* Calling on the international community to assume its legal and moral responsibilities regarding the question of Western Sahara, and to put an end to the suffering of the Sahrawi refugees through a just solution that guarantees their right to self-determination.
