Smara Wilaya, 22 November 2025 (SPS) – The proceedings of the Third International Solidarity Forum for Cultural Exchange for Peace in Western Sahara was concluded Friday evening in the Wilaya of Smara, in the presence of the Minister of Culture, Mr. Moussa Salma, members of the National Secretariat, the government, the National Council, and a delegation from the occupied territories.
During the closing session, participants listened to live testimonies about the human rights situation in the occupied Western Sahara through interventions by members of the delegation from the occupied territories, in addition to the screening of a documentary revealing the scale of grave human rights violations and the plundering of natural resources in the occupied parts of Western Sahara.
The closing ceremony also witnessed the presentation of humanitarian initiatives, including a significant quantity of medicines and water-purification devices donated to health institutions and centers for people with special needs.
Participants from various nationalities were honored in recognition of their solidarity with the Sahrawi people.
The Forum’s proceedings concluded with a final statement and recommendations in which participants reaffirmed their moral and humanitarian commitment to stand alongside the Sahrawi people in their legitimate struggle until peace, freedom, and independence are achieved.
