Smara Wilaya, 19 November 2025 (SPS) — Dr. Youssef Mechria, head of the Algerian delegation participating in the Third International Solidarity Forum for Cultural Exchange for Peace, President of the International Bridges of Peace Foundation, reaffirmed Algeria’s steadfast positions in support of the Sahrawi cause.
Dr. Mechria added that this forum is being held amid new regional and international developments affecting the Sahrawi issue after half a century—fifty years of steadfastness and suffering.
He stressed that the unchanging truth is that the Sahrawi people alone are the ones who decide their fate; they alone hear the voice of their freedom, and they alone understand the meaning of the dignity for which they struggle—guided by the resilience of a people who have neither been defeated, nor retreated, nor abandoned their right, even under the harshest circumstances.
