Occupied El Aaiún, November 14, 2025 (SPS) – The foreign company LSQA announced the suspension of its activities in the occupied areas of Western Sahara, in respect of international legality.
The company clarified that the decision aligns with international laws and regulations, which affirm the distinct legal status of the territory and the necessity of dealing with the legitimate Sahrawi authorities in any economic or administrative activity related to it.
In the same context, the Association for Monitoring Resources and Protecting the Environment in Western Sahara expressed its strong satisfaction with LSQA S.A.'s decision to suspend all its activities and base its operations in Western Sahara in accordance with international laws and regulations that recognize the separate legal status of the territory and the need to coordinate with the legitimate Sahrawi authorities in any related economic or administrative activity.
The Association called on all foreign companies and institutions involved in environmental and economic certifications to follow this step, respect the legal status of the territory, and refrain from engaging in any economic or commercial activities in the occupied territories without the approval of the Sahrawi people and their legitimate representative, the Polisario Front.
