Algiers, 30 October 2025 (SPS) – Sahrawi students and citizens residing in Algiers organized today, Thursday, a solidarity sit-in at the Sahrawi Embassy in Algeria.
The protest expressed support for the uprising of the Sahrawi masses and their rejection of the U.S. proposal and all dubious and illegal solutions that violate international law and legitimacy.
In his speech on the occasion, member of the National Secretariat, Sahrawi Ambassador to Algeria, Khatri Addouh, stressed that international legitimacy cannot be bypassed under any circumstances, particularly regarding the decolonization of Western Sahara.
The ambassador reaffirmed that the Polisario Front, as the sole and legitimate representative of the Sahrawi people, categorically rejects any proposal or initiative that does not respect the Sahrawi people’s free will to decide their future.
He emphasized that any solution not based on this principle constitutes a violation of international legality and undermines the core of the decolonization process in the territory.
A statement was also delivered on behalf of Sahrawi students studying in Algeria, affirming that Sahrawi students everywhere stand united against any attempt to bypass international legitimacy or undermine the Sahrawi people's right to self-determination.
They highlighted that the awareness and conviction of Sahrawi youth in the justice of their cause serves as a guarantee for the continuation of the struggle until full independence is achieved.
