Bir Lehlu, 22 September 2025 (SPS) - The President of the Republic, Secretary General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, has addressed a congratulatory message to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Belize, Mr. John Antonio Briceño, on the occasion of the 44th anniversary of his country’s independence.

Dear Prime Minister,
On behalf of the Government and people of the Sahrawi Republic (SADR), I would like to convey to your Excellency and to the brotherly people of Belize our warmest congratulations on the momentous occasion of the 44th anniversary of the independence of your country.
The Sahrawi Republic (SADR) joins your brotherly country in celebrating over four decades of independence during which great achievements were made in various domains. We are confident that Belize will continue its steady march, under your able leadership, towards the attainment of higher standards of development, progress, and prosperity in the many decades to come.
The Government and people of the Sahrawi Republic (SADR) remain grateful for the principled position of support and solidarity that your brotherly country has extended to our people in their legitimate struggle for freedom and independence.
I would like again to seize this opportunity to renew our strong resolve to further strengthen the bonds of friendship and solidarity existing between our two nations, and to boost them to the highest possible level in the interests of our brotherly peoples.
