
Vitoria (Spain), September 14, 2025 (SPS) – The city of Vitoria, the capital of the Basque Country hosted, Saturday in the city's Lariaga Park, a distinguished cultural festival organized by the "Desierta" Association, which brings together a group of Sahrawi youth.
The festival featured the setup of three Sahrawi tents, which housed a photo exhibition and a workshop showcasing the latest publications of books and poetry. Renowned Sahrawi writers and poets from the diaspora participated, along with a book signing session by several Sahrawi authors. The event also included an authentic Sahrawi tea ceremony, a screening of a Sahrawi film reflecting aspects of the history and struggles of the Sahrawi people, as well as musical performances that delighted the audience.
The festival was attended by the representative of the Polisario Front in the Basque Country, along with a significant number of solidarity activists and Sahrawi Associations active in Spain, as well as international supporters and members of the Sahrawi community residing in the region.
