Rome, July 7, 2025 (SPS) – A group of Sahrawi children arrived Sunday at Rome International Airport from the Sahrawi refugee camps to spend their summer in various Italian cities, as part of the Holiday in Peace program.
The initiative is organized by Italian solidarity associations in coordination with the Polisario Front Representation in Italy and the Sahrawi Ministry of Youth and Sports.
Upon arrival, the children were welcomed by the Polisario Front's representative in Italy, alongside members of the Italian Solidarity Network with the Sahrawi People and local solidarity associations.
During their stay, the children will receive comprehensive medical check-ups and participate in cultural, recreational, and sports activities aimed at fostering cultural exchange and raising awareness about the Sahrawi cause.
This initiative reaffirms the Italian solidarity movement's commitment to supporting the Sahrawi people's rights and their struggle for self-determination.
