Boumerdes (Algeria), 9 October 2023 (SPS) - The President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Mr. Brahim Ghali, warned of the obstructionist and intransigent policies of the occupying Moroccan state, which threaten peace and stability in the region.
In his speech during the opening of the Algerian-Sahrawi Trade Union Solidarity Week, which was read on his behalf by the President of the Consultative Council, member of the National Secretariat, Mr. Mohamed Lamin Ahmed, President Ghali warned of the escalation of the Moroccan occupying state's policies of obstruction, including through the flow of its drugs, as it is the largest producer and exporter of cannabis, and its support and encouragement of organized crime gangs and terrorist groups, as well as its suspicious alliances with expansionist colonial forces, and the imposition of its dangerous agendas that threaten the region as a whole with further tension and instability.
At the same time, the President of the Republic clarified that the position of the Sahrawi party is clear, which is the readiness to fully cooperate with the efforts of the United Nations to expedite the decolonization of the last colony in Africa, by enabling the Sahrawi people to exercise their non-negotiable, non-transferable, and non-expiring right to self-determination and independence, like all colonized countries and peoples.
