SPLA units target rear positions of Moroccan occupying army in Mahbes sector

Bir Lehlu (Sahrawi Republic), August 9, 2026 (SPS) – Units of the Sahrawi People’s Liberation Army (SPLA) targeted rear positions of the Moroccan occupying army in the Mahbes sector, inflicting heavy losses on the occupation forces.

The military communiqué issued by the Ministry of National Defense stated that advanced units of the Sahrawi People’s Liberation Army carried out shelling last night, Saturday, targeting rear positions belonging to the Moroccan army in the occupied town of Mahbes.

SPLA units also targeted Sunday morning bases and positions of the Moroccan invading army in the Laaked area of the Mahbes sector.
