Moscow, May 29, 2026 (SPS) – A Sahrawi delegation participated in the proceedings of the Third International Anti-Fascist Forum, held in the Russian capital, Moscow, on May 25 and 26, with broad participation from political parties, organizations, and political forces representing more than one hundred countries from different continents.

In their final declaration, participants stressed the importance of strengthening international solidarity among peoples and progressive forces to confront neo-fascism, terrorism, wars, and imperialist interventions. They called for the establishment of a united international front to defend freedom, social justice, and the right of peoples to self-determination.

The Sahrawi participation provided an opportunity to raise awareness of the Western Sahara issue and the struggle of its people for freedom and independence. It also highlighted the suffering of the Sahrawi people under Moroccan occupation, including policies of repression and restriction, as well as serious human rights violations in the occupied territories of Western Sahara.

The Sahrawi delegation reaffirmed the inalienable right of the Sahrawi people to self-determination and independence, while expressing solidarity with peoples around the world fighting against colonialism, occupation, and aggressive policies.
