SPLA targets Moroccan military positions in Mahbes sector

Bir Lehlou (Sahrawi Republic), February 18, 2026 (SPS) – Units of the Sahrawi People’s Liberation Army (SPLA) targeted Moroccan military positions in the Mahbes sector, causing casualties and material losses.

The military communiqué issued today by the Ministry of National Defense stated that advanced units of our fighters carried out Wednesday concentrated and sustained bombardments, targeting a corps command headquarters in the Laagad area of the Mahbes sector. A rapid intervention forces headquarters in the Laaran area of the same sector was also targeted.
