Brasília (Brazil), 30 October 2025 (SPS) – Brazilian associations, political parties, and public figures have renewed their strong support for the Sahrawi people and their legitimate right to freedom and self-determination.
In this context, the Solidarity Association for the Self-Determination of the Sahrawi People expressed its hope that the United Nations will take measures to end colonialism and enable the Sahrawi people to exercise their right to freedom and self-determination, while rejecting any attempts to undermine this right.
For its part, the Solidarity Committee of Salvador condemned the content of the U.S. draft resolution submitted to the UN Security Council, considering it an attempt to bypass international legitimacy and deny the Sahrawi people’s right to freedom and self-determination as guaranteed by UN resolutions.
