Venezuela renews its support for Sahrawi people and their just cause

New York (UN), September 27, 2025 (SPS) – Venezuela has renewed its firm and strong support for the Sahrawi people and their just cause.

This came in a speech by Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yván Eduardo Gil Pinto before the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, where he stated, "We reaffirm our strong support for the Sahrawi people, their just cause, and their right to build their independent state."

Venezuela recognizes the Sahrawi Republic and maintains diplomatic relations at the highest level.
