Madrid (Spain), August 30, 2025 (SPS) - The Asturias Association for Solidarity with the Sahrawi People renewed Friday its steadfast position in supporting the Sahrawi people's right to self-determination.
In this context, the Association, as reported by the newspaper "Diario de Asturias," announced the organization of a popular demonstration Sunday under the slogan: "Peace and Justice for the Sahrawi People," expressing the support of the citizens of Asturias (northern Spain) for the Sahrawi cause and showing continuous solidarity with the Sahrawi people and their just cause.
The Association clarified that this event comes within the framework of ongoing efforts "to highlight the importance of reaching a just and final solution to the Sahrawi issue, and to demonstrate the commitment of civil society in Asturias to supporting the Sahrawi people until they achieve their legitimate rights to self-determination, freedom, and independence."
