Windhoek,  29 August 2025 (SPS) - Namibian Minister of International Relations and Trade, Hon. Amb. Selma Ashipala-Musavyi, reiterated Friday his country’s support and solidarity with the Sahrawi people for self-determination and independence, on the occasion of the diplomatic briefing at Old Cabinet Chamber in Windhoek.

“I wish to state that Namibia will continue to stand firmly with nations seeking self-determination and independence. We continue to support and extend solidarity to the heroic people of Palestine and Western Sahara,” said the Minister.

“We call for the lifting of unilateral coercive measures against Cuba, Venezuela, and Zimbabwe to help them implement the UN’s 2030 Agenda for sustainable development. No evidence supports Cuba’s presence on the list of state sponsors of terrorism, hence it should be removed,” added the Namibian Minister.
