Shaheed El-Hafed, May 27, 2025 (SPS) – The Prime Minister, member of the National Secretariat, Mr. Bouchraya Hammoudi Bayoune, presided over the official establishment of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Traditional Education as an independent ministry within the government structure. The ceremony was attended by its officials, headed by Mr. Sidahmed Aleyat, Minister of Religious Affairs and Traditional Education, member of the National Secretariat.
During the establishment process, the Prime Minister emphasized that the separation of the delegated ministry for Religious Affairs and Traditional Education from the Ministry of Justice—making it an independent ministry within the government—was a result of the workload and its requirements for new structures, allowing the ministry to assume its proper role and carry out its duties effectively.
It is worth recalling that a presidential decree issued on April 3, 2025, mandated the separation of the Ministry of Religious Affairs from the Ministry of Justice, transforming it into an independent ministry under the name Ministry of Religious Affairs and Traditional Education.
