Shaheed Al-Hafed, May 15, 2025 (SPS) – The Palestinian Communist Party has expressed its solidarity with Sahrawi political prisoners held in Moroccan jails, condemning the repressive policies pursued by the occupying Moroccan authorities against Sahrawi activists.
In a statement, the party asserted that the continued detention of prisoners under harsh and inhumane conditions constitutes a blatant violation of international conventions and human rights, reflecting the nature of a regime built on repression and the persecution of all free voices demanding legitimate rights.
The statement added, "The struggle of our Sahrawi brothers and sisters is a just liberation struggle, intersecting with our Palestinian people’s struggle against occupation and colonialism. From this standpoint, we reaffirm our principled stance in supporting peoples' right to self-determination and liberation from all forms of oppression and colonialism."
The Palestinian Communist Party called on the international community, human rights organizations, and progressive and leftist parties worldwide to take urgent action to pressure Moroccan authorities for the immediate and unconditional release of all Sahrawi political prisoners and to guarantee their full rights.
