San Salvador, May 11, 2025 (SPS) – The Secretary-General of El Salvador's Farabundo Martí National Liberation Front (FMLN), Juan Manuel Flores, expressed his full solidarity with the Sahrawi people and their just cause in a message sent to the Sahrawi National Council on the 52nd anniversary of the founding of the Polisario Front.
Flores praised the Sahrawi people for their determination, courage, and resilience in the face of harsh conditions since the beginning of the brutal occupation, expressing admiration for these noble human values.
In his message, Flores stated: "In adherence to the principles of international law and in affirmation of the Sahrawi people's right to self-determination and independence, we call on the international community to pressure Morocco and hold it accountable as the occupying and aggressor power. We also demand that Spain, as the former colonial power, fully assume its responsibilities toward the Sahrawi people."
