Madrid, 13 March 2025 (SPS) - A new book by Spanish author Luis Portillo Pascual, titled “In Defense of the Sahrawi Cause”, has been released, emphasizing the right of the Sahrawi people to self-determination.
The book compiles numerous articles written by the author about Western Sahara and the Sahrawi cause, along with various publications addressed to journalists, academics, members of parliament, senators, and international organizations. Many of these writings had not been published until now.
During the book launch event held at the Madrid Municipal Public Library "Iván de Vargas," participants emphasized the importance of this work as a "fundamental contribution" to understanding the struggle of the Sahrawi people and its inherent right to self-determination and independence.
Speakers at the event, which was organized as part of activities supporting the Sahrawi cause and attended by academics, journalists, and individuals concerned with the issue, stressed "the significance of this work as a vital contribution to understanding the Sahrawi people's struggle and their unwavering right to self-determination and independence."
