Oran (Algeria), February 24, 2025 (SPS) – The Dean of Tifariti University and Director of Higher Education, Mr. Moulay Emhamed, conducted a working visit to the University of Oran 2, Ahmed Ben Mohamed. He was received by the university's director, Mr. Ahmed Shaalal, along with his deputies and the directors of faculties and institutes.
A meeting was held between the Dean of Tifariti University and his host, the Director of the University of Oran 2, during which explanations were provided about the history and role of Tifariti University in training, qualification, and academic advocacy for the Sahrawi people and its just cause.
For his part, the Director of the University of Oran 2 expressed the university's readiness to continue supporting and accompanying Tifariti University in various areas of training, exchange of expertise, scientific research, and the organization of academic conferences to raise awareness about the Sahrawi cause. This aligns with Algeria's principled and historical stance in supporting the right of peoples to self-determination and independence, foremost among them the Sahrawi people.
The meeting was an opportunity to renew the signing of a cooperation agreement between the two universities aimed at exchanging expertise and knowledge, as well as organizing joint academic and scientific activities.
On the sidelines of the visit, a meeting was organized with Sahrawi students studying at the University of Oran 2. Discussions focused on the pioneering role of Sahrawi students as scholars and ambassadors of a just cause, as well as encouraging them to prepare research papers and theses addressing various aspects of the Sahrawi people's struggle.
