Shaheed El-Hafed, February 23, 2025 (SPS) – The Free Algerian Students' Coalition is organizing a solidarity caravan in support of the Sahrawi people and their just cause, aiming to strengthen cooperation within the university community and raise awareness about the Sahrawi cause as the last decolonization issue in the African continent.

The student coalition, which has arrived in the Sahrawi refugee camps as part of a solidarity caravan titled "Loyalty to the Sahrawi Cause," seeks to reaffirm its commitment to advocating for the Sahrawi cause and expanding solidarity within the Algerian student community. This initiative is driven by their belief in the principles of the glorious November 1st Revolution, which supports liberation movements and aspires for freedom and peace.

As part of the visit's agenda, members of the caravan will attend workshops and seminars on the role of Sahrawi students in the battles for liberation and development, as well as discussions on the human rights situation in the occupied territories of Western Sahara.

The delegation will also receive a political briefing on the national, regional, and international context of the Sahrawi cause, along with the latest developments amid the current situation marked by the situation of war and escalating confrontations with the Moroccan occupation on various fronts.

The student delegation will conduct field visits to several national facilities and institutions, where they will observe the operations of these institutions and gain insight into the institutional experience of the Sahrawi state.

Additionally, the delegation will attend celebrations commemorating the 49th anniversary of the proclamation of the Sahrawi Republic, to be held in the wilaya of Smara, as well as the 25th edition of the Sahara Marathon sports event.

At the conclusion of the visit, the delegation will hold meetings with leaders and officials of the Polisario Front and the Sahrawi state.
