La Paz (Bolivia), December 18, 2024 (SPS) - The Embassy of the Sahrawi Republic in Bolivia participated in commemorating Venezuelan leader Simón Bolívar and honoring his legacy of courage and longing for freedom. The event was attended by Bolivia's Deputy Foreign Minister Olmer Torrejón, senior military and police leaders, along with the diplomatic corps accredited in Bolivia.
The Venezuelan embassy in La Paz honored the Sahrawi embassy by laying a wreath at the statue of the Latin American liberator Simón Bolívar, in recognition of his struggle and resistance against colonialism, and as a reflection of the spirit of solidarity and friendship that unites Venezuela and the Sahrawi state.
During the presentation, the Venezuelan ambassador in La Paz, César Trombetas, reflected on the history of leader Simón Bolívar and his prominent role in liberating South American countries, promoting liberating thought, and confronting imperialism and colonial presence. He also reiterated his country's support for the struggles of the Palestinian and Sahrawi peoples against occupation and tyranny.
