9 June, 3 December 2024 (SPS) - Member of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front, President of the National Council, Mr. Hamma Salama, received Tuesday a delegation from the African Union Peace and Security Commission (AU PSC) at the National Council headquarters.
The delegation is visiting the Sahrawi refugee camps as part of a several-day work visit to the institutions of the Sahrawi Republic.
The President of the National Council welcomed the delegation, appreciating its visit to the Sahrawi Republic and the efforts of the African Union towards its member states and peoples.
Mr. Hamma Salama reviewed the African agreements and protocols ratified by the National Council, starting from the founding charter of the African Union to the Protocol on the Rights of Women in Africa, which is annexed to the African Charter on Human Rights, as well as the Convention on the Rights of the Child and its Welfare.
He affirmed the National Council's commitment to fulfilling the Sahrawi state's obligations within the African Union, contributing to the advancement and development of the continent at various levels and in all areas.
