Paris, November 26, 2024 (SPS) - French lawyer Gilles Devers, known for his advocacy for Sahrawi and Palestinian causes, passed away on Tuesday at the age of 68 after a long illness.
After battling an incurable disease, Gilles Devers, a dedicated advocate for just causes, died in the morning of Tuesday, November 26, 2024.
Having been registered with the Lyon Bar since 1985, he was also a lecturer at Lyon 3 University, where he was qualified to supervise research. He served as the editor-in-chief of the journal *Law, Ethics, and Care* and authored numerous works on various legal themes.
For over 30 years, he devoted himself to defending the rights of just causes worldwide, particularly those concerning Western Sahara and Palestine.
